Daljeet Kaur/Sunam Udham Singh Wala, July 4, 2023: Punjab cabinet Minister and MLA from Sunam Constituency Aman Arora has started a new campaign to make Sunam Udham Singh Wala, the hometown of the revolutionary martyr Shaheed Udham Singh, cleanness city in the state.
While addressing a public meeting was organised here to interact with the representatives of about 80 religious organisations, NGOs and welfare clubs, Cabinet Minister Aman Arora said that the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann was committed to provide a good living environment to the residents of the state. He said that CM Mann taking meaningful steps to make the state ‘Rangla Punjab’ again.
Cabinet Minister Aman Arora said that the Punjab government was paying special attention to improve the cleanliness of the cities and under this, they have decided to start a campaign at their level to ensure cleanliness of the Sunam city. He said that till Friday, organizations and social workers should give their suggestions on which appropriate action will be ensured. He said that to make this campaign a success, along with the experts of this field, the representatives of Moonak city have also been brought together because Moonak has been excelling in Swachhta ranking for the past several years. He said that under this campaign, the proper coordination of people and the municipal council will be ensured and the required machinery and funds would be allotted for same by their government.
The Cabinet Minister appealed to Sunam residents and NGOs to contribute in keeping their city clean and to come forward and educate the people about cleanliness. He said that in the recent past, administrative officials and municipal council employees have made a lot of efforts to improve the cleanliness system. He said that if the representatives of the social service organizations choose the areas of the city according to their convenience and help in keeping them clean, then Sunam can easily be made the top city in terms of cleanliness. He said that a similar campaign will be started soon at the level of the wards.
On this occasion, SDM Jaspreet Singh, Chairman Market Committee Sunam Mukesh Juneja, EO Amrit Lal, Senior Vice President Asha Bajaj, Ravi Kant Goyal, Jatinder Jain and a large number of city residents were also present.
